Types of appliances and the results they produce.

When a removable orthopedic appliance is used to correct jaws that are growing improperly. A different form of appliance may be required to treat different growth problems.

We have already stressed the need for cooperation. beyond this there are some pointers that can be very helpful.

	The Williams Appliances The two basic objectives of the appliance are to develop the transverse width of the lower dental alveolar base, and to recover any lost mandibular arch length.
	The Schwarz Appliances The ideal appliance for developing the size of the upper arch in the mixed dentition and the primary dentition. The lower Schwarz Appliance works well in the primary dentition as well
	The Sagittal Appliance This appliance is used to correct skeletal and dental Division Two's. It can also be used to recover lost arch length in either the upper or lower arch
	Jackson Appliance A removable appliance to develop the lower arch in the mixed dentition.
	Williams Appliance A fixed appliance to develop the lower arch and to distal drive in the mixed dentition.
	The ALF Appliance A light wire appliance usually used in the permanent dentition to develop either the upper or lower arch. It is ideal to use in conjunction with the Delta Force Appliance
	The Crozat Appliance A heavy wire appliance used to develop the lower arch in the permanent dentition. It can also be used to upright lower second molars
	Fixed Expanders A good appliance for arch development if compliance is the major issue
	The Bionator Appliance A good appliance for arch development if compliance is the major issue
	The Twin Block The Walter´s design can correct a skeletal Class II in the permanent dentition very quickly
	R.H.P.G It´s orthopedic function is to move the maxilla forward. It´s orthodontic function is to burn anchorage within the upper arch
	FR III Appliance This appliance is excellent when used as a retainer for the Class III child
